The mustard seed represents how small beginnings, when given time and care, can grow into meaningful and lasting change. Therapy is often that small first step - a place where insight, healing and resilience can gradually take root and grow.
Finding the right fit is an important part of the therapeutic process. For this reason, we offer a complimentary 20-minute consultation to explore what brings you in, the concerns or symptoms you’re experiencing, your goals for therapy, and whether working together feels like a good match.
A good fit in therapy is less about feeling instantly comfortable and more about sensing that the space is safe, respectful, and collaborative. In the first few sessions, it’s normal to feel unsure or vulnerable, especially if you’re not used to talking openly about your inner experiences - trust develops gradually. Over time, signs of a good fit include feeling heard and understood, trusting your therapist’s intentions, and having a shared sense of direction—even when the work is challenging. Therapy should feel like something you’re doing together, not something being done to you.
Therapy sessions are typically 50minutes in length with the remaining 10minutes of the hour used to review your chart and complete session notes. Should you want a longer session, please talk to your therapist about this option.
